“cloud ice earth dancers”

“cloud ice earth dancers”

Life is filled with mundane happenings and objects we take for granted.

“dusk at the lake”

“gold”

I want to connect with the textures, layers, and spirit of everyday life. With the small blessings. The daily task of living.

“willow”

“the young ones”

“thicket”

I don’t believe that every piece I produce has to be as relevant to others as it is to me. Yet I hope some of what I make touches others.

“gleam”

If I tune into universal experiences, emotions, archetypes, I can hopefully help other people find beauty and meaning in their own lives.

“reaching for the light realm”

I love combining photos to bring out synchronous connections between different aspects of life: the sensuousness of peeling paint or rusted metal, striking and evocative natural shapes and landscapes, objects and colours closer than we usually see them, removed from their normal environment or just photographed in a way that surprises because it’s an unusual perspective.

“soul rising like smoke”

As I work on a collage, I try to convey those connections and tell a story without words.

“she walks with a ripple in her step”

I love it when someone looks at one of my collages, or even an unaltered photograph, and sees something I never thought of, sees something very personal and meaningful – for them. That’s the best.

“sea of sky with candles”

“water roots fiber”

“woodland and icon with cross”

So I hope that most of my artwork is a mirror for people who really look at it.

“ghost roots tapestry”
